ECO-SPORTS INFO DAY
The Hellenic Powerlifting Association, organised an Eco-Sports info day, on April 8, 20123, in Haidari, Athens, Greece.
The info day was part of the Erasmus+ project "For Sustainable Environment, Nature Sports (SENS)”. The subjects of the Info-Day, were:
- Eco-friendly sports’ equipment,
- Organising sports events with zero environmental harming impact.
Andreas Kolettis, Nikolaos Koukoulakis, Ilias Varytimiadis and Anastasios Pantazidis, had the chance to inform the participants about the SENS project before getting into the Info-Day subjects.
The speakers, explained the ways to choose eco-friendly equipment and how to use them. Additionaly, a detailed presentation and discussion occurred about organising sports events, with the minimum harming of the environment.
After the presentations, speaches and discussion, a summary document was formed, it order to be part of the SENS project documentation.
The implementation of the outcome summary, will be in effect at the Parkinson Powerlifting event that will take place at April 11th, on the World Parkinson's Day.
